Dorothy Désir

Dorothy Désir is a curator of contemporary art and a cultural activist. She has been examining the impact of globalization on creative communities of the African Diaspora through her writings and a series of civic dialogues. Ms. Désir holds a Master’s degree from the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College; lectures extensively on Afro-Caribbean religions; and is presently working on a book about Harlem’s revitalization.
