Dean Blumberg

After several years as a production assistant while successfully finishing a Bachelors Degree in Law and Marketing at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, Dean Blumberg enrolled at AFDA (African School of Film and Dramatic Art), where he completed both a Bachelors and Honours Degree in Motion Picture Medium. His short films have won numerous and prestigious international and national awards. Dean Blumberg has also directed many TV commercials. Dean was chosen for the 2007 Shots New Directors Showcase and was the only South African to appear in the Film section of the 2007 Gunn Report’s 100 Most Awarded commercials list. He is the most awarded Director in the Creative Circle’s history, having won Creative Circle’s Ad of the Year twice more as well additional 2nd and 3rd places in alternative years. Learn More
