Manie van Rensburg was born on October 24, 1945 in Krugersdorp, South Africa as Hermanus Philippus Janse van Rensburg. He was a director and producer, known for Freddie's in Love (1971), The Gordimer Stories (1982) and Die Bankrower (1973). He was married to Anita Maria Erasmus and Grethe Fox.
