A filmmaker with skills in a multitude of areas behind the camera, Will Gluck began his career as a writer on The John Larroquette Show in the mid-'90s. He moved on to write for shows like Working, Grosse Pointe, and The Loop, projects that also helped Gluck become a producer. In 2009, he added director to his résumé, helming the comedy Fired Up, which he followed up the next year with Easy A, starring Emma Stone. He directed the remake of Annie (2014), filmed in New York City. It starred Quvenzhané Wallis, Jamie Foxx, Cameron Diaz, Rose Byrne, and Bobby Cannavale. Annie received two Golden Globe Award nominations in the categories of Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical (for Wallis) and Best Original Song.
