Biography

Sweden

Born in Jerusalem in 1973, raised in Sweden and with roots in East Africa, Teddy Goitom created the global network Stocktown in 1998. Since then Teddy has produced cutting edge and socially engaged content for film, TV and digital media for Swedish Television, Utbildnings Radio and MTV. Together with his network, they produced the Stocktown TV music documentary series, which successfully aired on TV in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Japan, Spain, Brazil and film festivals worldwide. He also was an active member of the CinemAfrica film jury, bringing African films to a Swedish audience. Teddy runs his own production company, Soeasy, working with both commercial and underground productions, operating worldwide, knowing no boundaries. He is the co-director of Afripedia, a five-part documentary series about the generation of rising African creative talents that are challenging all preconceptions and stereotypes.
