Rachel (Magaajyia Silberfeld) is a young woman living with her Nigerien uncle (Danny Glover) and his American wife (Edythe Davis). When her aunt has had enough of Rachel’s free-spirited lifestyle, she kicks her out of the house. Soon she runs into a washed-up movie star (Robert Ri'chard) whose life, she finds out, is surprisingly similar to her own.

Magaajyia Silberfeld

Magaajyia Silberfeld is an actress from France, Poland and Niger. At eighteen, she directed her first short film, *Me There and produced and co-directed Ride or Die starring Piper de Palma and Roxane Depardieu. She also produced the short, After School, starring Ruby Modine, which won the Rhode Island Directorial Award. After completing theater training at the Conservatoire de Paris and completing a philosophy BA at the Sorbonne University, Magaajyia attended the Lee Strasberg Institute in Los Angeles and the Playhouse West Repertory. She made her acting debut in Geraldine Bajard’s The Edge. She played the lead role in her mother, Rahmatou Keïta’s film, Zin’naariya! Vagabonds is her latest film. Learn More
